Privacy Policy
Certain information is freely given out by your web browser. This information includes your IP address, web browser, and operating system. As no one can be personally identified by web browser or operating system alone, we keep this in our publicized traffic information, found
here. None of the IP information will be released to anyone except those with FTP access to the site (essentially only site staff members). In our publicized traffic information, specific IP addresses are not released (though nonrevealing statistics of the unnamed IP addresses, such as the number of pageviews or bandwidth they have logged on our site, are).
On the forums, which are remotely hosted by a separate entity, ProBoards, the ProBoards staff and the How Rude Forums staff are the only ones able to read your IP. We are unable to completely guarantee this information is never revealed, as our site and forums staff are volunteers with no criminal background checks or the like, however, it is very unlikely, as our staff are very carefully selected (it often takes at least six months of being a good, active community member before you can even think of getting a staff position). As soon as we find unscrupulous staff behavior regarding this issue, the staff member in question will be evicted from all staff positions they have at Howrude.org or its forums that would enable them to do such.
Coercing someone into releasing personal information by anyone at Howrude.org or its forums is strictly prohibited, and we will take action as soon as we obtain knowledge of such an action occuring. Releasing personal information without coercion, however, is entirely your responsibility, and we at Howrude.org are not liable for anything that might occur as a result of the release of this information.
Acceptable Use Policy
This site and its forums may be used for all purposes legal under United States and Texas state law (California state law for the forums) that are not against our respective site rules.
These site rules include NO HOTLINKING. All rules are explicitly laid out in most parts of Howrude.org, with the exception of the chatroom. Due to the absence of explicitly laid out rules, unwritten rules will be used to dictate punishments and proper behavior on the chatroom, but they are pretty similar to those found on the forums.
Obscenity Policy
While the actual site content is quite clean and has little, if any at all, offensive material, the main hotbeds for offensive material are the community features (forums, chatroom, and cbox). Howrude.org is not liable for what anyone posts through these mediums. They will moderate anything considered unacceptable for continued public showcasing (such as pornography and intense flaming or insulting), but some content (such as mild, reasonably placed cursing or depiction of violent situations) will not be moderated and kept as is. If you are offended by content the staff decides to keep, you have little choice but to ignore it. We have no obligation to censor something just because someone got offended unless we get a legal order to do so (but we'd probably have moderated it anyway if it got to that level).
Content Policy
Howrude.org does not intend to take content from people without asking for consent and/or giving proper credit first in almost all situations. The only place we don't is the gallery, because many of these images have no clear original owner/extractor. If you think we have taken an image from you, however, you can email us at staff (at) howrude (dot) org. On the flip side of this deal, all nongallery content that is not credited as being by someone else is assumed to be created by either Fishywishy, Paul, or BL. It is intellectual property under United States law, meaning that it is controlled and regulated by those with known FTP access to the site located at howrude.org (which is in practice, the site staff). Staff, by contributing to this site with content only intended for this site, it is not just yours but instead everyone's. You also agree that by posting such content that you no longer possess the rights to this content if you, or other site staff, are to terminate your position on this site.
This does not apply to those who use community oriented features to produce content, such as the chatroom or forums. This content is the intellectual property of its poster, unless it was taken from someone else. For the forums specifically, intellectual rights to postings that were intended only for use on the forums are given to How Rude if someone deletes their account, or recieve their fifth strike (in the latter case, if the person is to return, intellectual property of posts made after the ban are retained by the poster).
Fansite Policy
We are a Full House fansite. This means that none of us were ever directly involved with cast or crew. We are just fans like you. Anything you believe to be an implicit or explicit reference on our site that says otherwise is not intended to be such.

gallery, simply because it would be too hard, and many of the images are user-submitted and found all over the web, without any clear owner. HOWEVER- if you find an image in the gallery that you feel I have taken from you in some way, tell me! You can email me
